他們在黃昏相遇，
於荒廢已久的土地之上——
那裡寸草不生，
連風都遺忘了自己的名字。
北境之鹿，艾德瑞克·哈特米爾 (Eldric Hartmere)
他緊握著戰錘，宛如握著刻在石頭上的誓言。
鹿角已斷，盔甲裂開。
他矗立著，像是一片火海森林中最後屹立不倒的孤木。
浴火而生的「逐龍者」，維洛倫 (Vaeloryn Drakenbane)
他身披黑色的鎖子甲而來，
劍與盾上皆留有不可言說的戰火焦痕。
他步履蹣跚，如同一抹試圖憶起火焰形態的餘燼。
他們相對無言。
沉默，比復仇更加古老。
碰撞聲如雷鳴般炸響，
鋼鐵、骨骸與大地皆被撕裂。
戰錘落下，勢如暴風。
長劍擊出，狀若咒怨。
他們像天神夢境中的凡人那樣戰鬥——
一個代表嚴霜與根基，
一個代表灰燼與毀滅。
當一切結束時，
一人跪下，
一人起身。
但現場沒有傳唱的歌謠，
亦沒有刻下的姓名。
唯有死寂，
以及那永不散去的嚴寒。
